How to get super glue off the skin

1. Gently peel it off – If the skin affected by super glue is not too sensitive, gently try peeling it off the skin. Do not touch it while it is still sticky, wait till it is dry then gently try to peel it off. Remember using clean fingernails to remove it. If the glue resists or causes pain stop immediately.
2. Use mineral spirits – This method is best for those who have sensitive skin. Soak the glued area in mineral spirit then try loosening the glue from the skin. Repeat until the glue is removed completely.

How to get super glue off your hands

1. Soak the glue – warm, soapy water helps to loosen the glue from your hand.
   • Take a bowl of warm water mixed with 15 ml of mild soap and soak the glue affected area for 30 to 60 seconds. Hopefully, this should soften the glue then gently try to remove it. If it does not come out repeat the procedure several times.
   • You can also try lemon juice in place of water or a mixture containing 1 part lemon juice and 1 part water. The acid in the lemon juice can help in softening the hold of super glue.
2. Use margarine – This method is good for those who have sensitive skin. Simply rub some margarine on glue affected area continuously until glue loosens. If you don’t have margarine you can also use olive oil, it will work the same way.
3. Use petroleum jelly – First, wash your hands and the area affected by superglue in hot soapy water. Then apply petroleum jelly on the glued area. After that rub the glued area with a nail file for nearly one minute or rub until you notice the super glue peeling off.
4. Try acetone – This method is best for those who have though the skin. On soft skin it can cause irritation and dryness. It should never be applied on open wounds. Soak the glue affected skin in warm soapy water then try gently peeling the glue off the skin. If not successful pat it and dry it and apply any nail polish remover containing acetone. Acetone softens cyanoacrylate (super glue). After rubbing it on the glue dried glue will start peeling off. Do not use cotton swab as it can react very violently with cyanoacrylate (super gum). If you have a large glued affected area you can scrub it on a pumice stone placed in water.

How to remove super glue off your finger

1. Use laundry detergent – Take liquid laundry detergent (of any company) mixed with hot water. If the super glue is thick soak it and rubs it for approximately 20 minutes in order to loosen the glue. For removing super glue from the finger take ¼ cup o laundry detergent mixed with hot water in a coffee cup.
2. Use salt paste – A paste of salt and water can be used to peel off the super glue. You can prepare this salt by mixing a little amount of water in two tablespoons of salt. After preparing the salt rub it on glue affected area for nearly one minute. Keep rubbing without extra water. Repeat this same procedure until the salt has vanished. Hopefully the super glue has dissipated too.
3. Use lemon – If you don’t have acetone nail paint remover then you can type lemon instead if you want slightly less corrosive solution. You have to apply the lemon juice in a similar fashion as you do with acetone nail paint remover.

How to remove super glue off your lips

1. Make Sliva – Try to make saliva inside your mouth which will help you to moisten the glue from inside while the warm water will work from the outside.
2. Peel and roll the lips apart – You must work your lip side to side instead of pulling. Pulling can damage your lips. Submerging the warm water helps you to get rid of super glue off your lips.
